What is KUUMAT?
Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test
As the name suggests, it is a test undertaken by The Kathmandu University. It is a pen-and-paper-based written test that examines your qualification as a deserving candidate to access KU's undergrad management programs. In case you pass the test, you open your way to enroll in Kathmandu University Schools of Management (KUSOM) and its affiliated colleges.

Academic requirements
For Nepali and Non-Nepali citizens, Minimum 50% aggregate in +2.
CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0 in +2 or intermediate or equivalent level
At least 3.5 credits for A-Level students.
Modules and Formats
The total time period of the test is 100 minutes and the test is evaluated for 100 marks.
A single test of KUUMAT encompasses both domains
Two assessment domains are:
General SAT
SAT Mathematics Test
These assessment domains comprise English and Mathematical tests which are further divided into the following modules:
Reading Module:
This section consists of 25 questions for 25 marks and the allotted time is 25 minutes.
Writing and Language Module:
This section is worth 35 marks with 35 questions asked to be answered in just 25 minutes.
Quantitative Ability Test
No using Calculator: You are asked to complete 20 questions within 25 minutes for 20 marks without using a calculator.
Using Calculator: You can use a calculator to answer 20 questions for 20 marks within 25 minutes.
Exam pattern
Multiple choice questions
Negative scoring for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted
A score of 50% or above in Kathmandu university undergraduate management admission test
Minimum 50% in +2 aggregate
The cutoff scores for KUUMAT entrance test are:
A score of 50 percentile or above in Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test (KUUMAT).
A score of 50 percentile or above in analytical writing and personal interview after passing KUUMAT with the required score.
Eligibility
Candidates (both Nepali and Non-Nepali) with a minimum of 50 percent in aggregate or CGPA of 2.0 on the scale of 4.0 in 10+2 or intermediate or equivalent level study program form universities/boards recognized by Kathmandu University are eligible.
Note: Applicants who have completed the qualifying educational level but are waiting for the final results may apply on a provisional basis, provided they have already taken the final annual examinations of the program and passed all previous year papers.
